Cruijff cartoons

March 24 this year the Dutch football player Johan Cruijff died.
I had totally forgotten I made some cartoons for a kind of ‘management brochure’, based on quotes of Cruijff (he was known for his oracle like expressions).
Looking at the cartoons is also found a few that were rejected. You could say that I’m late with posting these cartoons, but I prefer to call it a ‘respectful delay’.
I’ve tried to translate the quote to English and put the original Dutch quote underneath.

The next one was deemed too difficult (which is a bit ironic, but also true)

The next one I expected to be rejected but wasn’t.
That made it an interesting asignment:
cartoons didn’t get rejected because they were deemed too risky or too confrontational, but because they were not adding to the message.
